01-30 - 05-15 - Street Vacation Portion of Wayzata Blvd Service Road and Flag Avenue South Resolution 01-30 May 15, 2001 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION FOR STREET VACATION OF A PORTION OF WAYZATA BOULEVARD SERVICE ROAD AND FLAG AVENUE SOUTH WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, pursuant to due notice, has heretofore conducted public hearing on the vacation of a portion of certain streets known as the South Service Road of Wayzata Boulevard and Flag Avenue South as now dedicated and laid out within the City of Golden Valley; and WHEREAS, all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley that said portions of certain public streets as described below be, and the same hereby is vacated: That portion of Wayzata Boulevard Service Road lying on the South side of Wayzata Boulevard between Flag Avenue South and General Mills Boulevard and that portion of flag Avenue South lying between the South Service Road of Wayzata Boulevard and the South Frontage road of 1-394 (a.k.a. Miller Street), all lying within Section 6, Township 117, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a perpetual drainage and utility easement be reserved over the entire length of said street vacations, and that said streets shall remain open as public roadways until the earlier of September 1, 2002 or the date the abutting landowners agree that they may be closed. ��' P Z� Mary E. WgIs n, City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member LeSuer and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer and Micks; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
