01-50 - 09-04 - Establish Vacation Watermain Easement I-394 and TH 169 Resolution 01-50 September 4, 2001
Member Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
OCTOBER 2, 2001 TO CONSIDER VACATION OF A WATERMAIN
EASEMENT ADJACENT TO 1-394 AND TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 169
WHEREAS, a watermain easement is no longer needed and the City desires to
consider vacation of that certain watermain easement legally described as follows:
A perpetual easement for watermain purposes over, under and across the Westerly,
Northwesterly and Northerly 15.0 feet of Temporary Bypass Easement (Parcel 1A),
Minnesota Department of Transportation Right-of-Way Plat No. 27-24, according to
the recorded plat thereof, as measured at right angles and adjacent to the westerly,
northwesterly, and northerly line of said Temporary Bypass Easement.
The above easement was filed as part of document number 5187212 on November
19, 1986 in Office of the County Recorder in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley hereby schedules a public hearing on October 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. to consider
vacation of the watermain easement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Johnson
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Bakken, Johnson, LeSuer and Micks; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
