01-71 - 12-03 - Authorize Agreement No. 82562M Traffic Signals Duluth St Segment V TH 100 Resolution 01-71 December 3, 2001 Member Micks introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, as amended: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT NO. 82562M BETWEEN THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY, AND HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON DULUTH STREET RELATED TO THE TH 100, SEGMENT V PROJECT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE EMERGENCY VEHICLE PREEMPTION DEVICES, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the City of Golden Valley (City) and Hennepin County (County) have been negotiating to bring about the improvement of that portion of TH 100 in the vicinity of and Duluth Street (CSAH 66); and WHEREAS, MnDOT, the City and the County have developed an agreement relevant to the operation and maintenance of traffic signals, emergency vehicle preemption devices and other associated improvements; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 161.20, subdivision 2 authorizes the Commissioner of Transportation to make arrangements and cooperate with any governmental authority for the purpose of construction, maintaining and improving the trunk highway system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley that: 1. The Agreement is approved. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to sign the Agreement. 3.
