02-27 - 03-04 - Establish PH Street Easement St. Croix Ave Resolution 02-27 March 4, 2002 Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING ON APRIL 1, 2002 TO CONSIDER VACATION OF A PORTION OF A STREET EASEMENT FOR ST. CROIX AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, a portion of St. Croix Avenue right-of-way as acquired through Document No. 1731478 in 1933, is no longer needed as right-of-way and the City desires to consider vacation of a certain portion of the acquired right-of-way legally described as follows: All that part of Lots 4, 5, & 6, Block 8, Yarnell's Golden Valley Outlots lying west of a line drawn from a point on the north line of road, 359.6 feet westerly from its intersection with the east line of Yarnell's Golden Valley Outlots, thence north 8 feet; thence northwesterly to the west line of said Lot 4 at a point 24 feet north of the southwest corner of said Lot 4; thence northwesterly to the west line of said Lot 5 at a point 15 feet north of the southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence northwesterly 30 feet to the southwesterly line of said Lot 6 and there terminating. That portion of the above-described street easement to be vacated is described as follows: All that part of the above described easement lying northerly of a line drawn from a point on the south line of Yarnell's Golden Valley Outlots, 359.6 feet westerly of the east line of Yarnell's Golden Valley Outlots; thence northwesterly to the west line of said Lot 4 at a point 6 feet north of the southwest corner of said Lot 4; thence northwesterly to the west line of said Lot 5 at a point 8 feet north of the southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence to the point of termination as described above and there terminating. All lying in Section 28, Township 118, Range 21, Hennepin County, Minnesota. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Golden Valley hereby schedules a public hearing on Monday, April 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. to consider vacation of a portion of a street easement.
