02-38 - 05-07 - Agreement with Henn Cty for Traffic Control Signal Resolution 02-38 May 7, 2002 Member LeSuer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT NO. PW 13-13-02 BETWEEN THE CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY AND HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: WHEREAS, the City has requested that the County provide maintenance of traffic control signal systems within the limits of the City; and WHEREAS, the County provides for the maintenance of traffic control signal systems for other municipalities within the County under other agreements on a reimbursable basis; and WHEREAS, the City has indicated its willingness to reimburse the County for all costs incurred by the County in the performance of such services as provided for herein; and WHEREAS, it is contemplated that said work be carried out by the parties hereto under the provisions of Minnesota Statute, Section 471.59; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Golden Valley that: 1. That the above recitals are incorporated by reference. 2. That the Agreement is approved. 3. That the Mayor and City Manager are authorized and directed to sign the Agreement. 4. That City staff is authorized and directed to take such actions as are reasonable and necessary to implement the Amendment. Linda R. Loomis, Mayor ATTEST: Donald G.
