04-02 - 01-06 - Author Applicationf funding for I-394 Improvement Resolution 04-2 January 6, 2004 Member Grayson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR MUNICIPAL AGREEMENT FUNDING FOR 1-394 SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AT THE TYROL HILLS PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has identified a pedestrian safety concern on the south 1-394 frontage road at the Tyrol Hills pedestrian bridge; and, WHEREAS, the pedestrian safety issues can be addressed with minor modifications to the frontage road; and, WHEREAS, financial participation for the improvements may be available from the Minnesota Department of Transportation through a cooperative agreement; and, WHEREAS, the City is committed to providing funding above and beyond those provided as part of the cooperative agreement, if the project is selected by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the fiscal year 2005 Cooperative Agreement Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Golden Valley requests funding from the Minnesota Department of Transportation through the 2005 Cooperative Agreement Program. Taylor Jerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Shaffer and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Freiberg, Grayson, Loomis, Shaffer and Tremere; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
