Member Freiberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
JUNE 15, 2004 TO CONSIDER VACATION OF A PORTION OF
A PLATTED DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN THE
JLO ADDITION P.U.D. NO. 66 PLAT
WHEREAS, a portion of a platted drainage and utility easement is no longer needed
and the City desires to consider vacation of that portion of the platted drainage and utility
easement legally described as follows:
That portion of a 20.00 foot wide drainage and utility easement, as dedicated, and
as located, over, under and across Lot 1, Block 1, JLO Addition P.U.D. No. 66,
according to the recorded plat thereof, and situate in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
The portion to be vacated is more particularly described as lying between "Point A"
and "Point B" and the centerline is described as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 1, Block 1; thence North 89
degrees 38 minutes 08 seconds East, assumed bearing, along the north line of said
Lot 1 a distance of 25.82 feet; thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds
East a distance of 137.50 feet to said "Point A"; thence continuing South 00 degrees
00 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 94.59 feet; thence South 87 degrees 49
minutes 34 seconds East a distance of 81.56 feet; thence South 02 degrees 10
minutes 26 seconds West a distance of 13.68 feet; thence South 87 degrees 49
minutes 34 seconds East a distance of 40.00 feet; thence North 87 degrees 49
minutes 34 seconds West a distance of 40.00 feet; thence South 02 degrees 10
minutes 26 seconds West a distance of 147.82 feet; thence South 87 degrees 49
minutes 34 seconds East a distance of 31.87 feet to said "Point B" and there
terminating.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley hereby schedules a public hearing on June 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. to consider
vacation of a platted easement for the plat of JLO Addition P.U.D. No. 66.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Tremere
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Freiberg,
Grayson, Loomis, Shaffer and Tremere; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
