05-12 - 02-15 - Issue Negative Declaration Storm Water Resolution 05-12 February 15, 2005 Member Pentel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ISSUING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF NEED FOR REVISIONS TO THE STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN WHEREAS, the City prepared and submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) its permit application for operation of the City's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) on March 10, 2003; and, WHEREAS, the permit required that the City develop a plan for regulating and improving storm water discharge commonly referred to as the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP); and, WHEREAS, staff has been working to meet the objectives set forth in the SWPPP and is required to report to the MPCA on the status of the plan's implementation on an annual basis; and, WHEREAS, the City has placed notification of a public hearing in the City's official newspaper and has held a public hearing to report on progress made in implementation of the SWPPP and to take public testimony; and, WHEREAS, comments made during the public hearing will be incorporated into the City Council record. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Golden Valley has determined that no revisions to the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) are required and staff is hereby directed to file the annual report with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
