05-15 - 02-15 - Approve Application for Hennepin County CDBG Resolution 05-15 February 15, 2005 Member Pentel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR USE OF HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM CONSOLIDATED POOL FUNDING AND AUTHORIZING SIGNATURE OF SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY AND ANY THIRD PARTY AGREEMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley, through execution of a Joint Cooperation Agreement with Hennepin County, is cooperating in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley has developed a proposal for the use of Hennepin County CDBG funds made available to it, consistent with local and Urban Hennepin County housing and community development needs and priorities; BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Golden Valley approves the submittal of the following application for funding from the Consolidated Pool of the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant Program and authorizes submittal of the proposal for review and inclusion in the Hennepin County Consolidated Pool Community Development Block Grant Program. Activity Budget The City of Golden Valley, with the West $400,000 Hennepin Affordable Housing Land Trust (WHAHLT), plans to acquire property with the intent to rehabilitate and resell for affordable housing purposes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and City Manager to execute the Subrecipient Agreement and any required Third Party Agreement on behalf of the City to implement this CDBG Program.
