05-51 - 09-06 - Rescind Parking Restriction from Edgewood and Florida Resolution 05-51 September 6, 2005
Member Freiberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION TO RESCIND PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON PORTIONS OF
EDGEWOOD AVENUE SOUTH AND FLORIDA AVENUE SOUTH
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power and authority, pursuant to Chapter 9.06,
Subd. 2 of the City Code, to designate no parking zones and areas, and it appears that
parking restrictions should be rescinded on portions of Edgewood Avenue South and
Florida Avenue South.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that the parking restrictions shall be rescinded for Resolution 439, adopted June 4,
1968; Resolution 00-24, adopted April 18, 2000; and Resolution 05-3 adopted on January
18, 2005.

The motioption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Pentel
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Freiberg,
Grayson, Loomis, Pentel and Shaffer; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
