Member Pentel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 498
RESTRICTING PARKING ON A PORTION OF OAK GROVE CIRCLE
AND ESTABLISHING NEW PARKING RESTRICTIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power and authority, pursuant to Chapter 9.06,
Subd. 2 of the City code, to designate no parking zones and areas, and it appears that
parking should be permitted on a portion of Oak Grove Circle; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to provide limited parking on Oak
Grove Circle; and
WHEREAS, in order to modify the parking restrictions, existing Resolution No. 498,
dated December 17, 1968, establishing parking restrictions on Oak Grove Circle must be
rescinded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden
Valley that:
1. Existing Resolution No. 498, establishing parking restrictions on Oak Grove
Circle, is hereby rescinded; and
2. Parking on the east side of Oak Grove Circle is hereby restricted and parking will
not be permitted; and
3. Parking on the west side of Oak Grove Circle is hereby restricted and will not be
permitted within such designated areas from Golden Valley Road to 150 feet
north.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Pentel
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Freiberg,
Loomis, Pentel, Scanlon and Shaffer; and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and her signature attested by the City Clerk.
