07-32 - 08-08 - Rescinding Resolution No. 83 regarding Conduct City Elections Resolution 07-32 August 8, 2007 Member Pentel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 83, RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING CONDUCT OF CITY ELECTIONS WHEREAS, the City Council appointed an Election Task Force on March 21, 2006 to study certain processes regarding City elections and report back to the City Council with recommendations on the election process; and WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution No. 83 on September 26, 1977, Recommendations Regarding Conduct of City Elections; and WHEREAS, the Elections Task Force has reviewed the Code of Ethics and recommended that Resolution No. 83 be rescinded because State Election Law now provides rules of conduct for candidates to follow. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that Resolution No. 83, dated September 26, 1977 is hereby rescinded. Ortinda/ Linda R. Loomis, Mayor ATTEST: f � Susan M.
