14-049 - 06-03 - Storm Water Pollution Preventation Program Resolution 14-49 June 3, 2014 Member Fonnest introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ISSUING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF NEED FOR REVISIONS TO THE STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City prepared and submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) its permit application for operation of the City's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) on March 10, 2003; and WHEREAS, the permit requires that the City develop a plan for regulating and improving stormwater discharge commonly referred to as the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP); and WHEREAS, staff has been working to meet the objectives set forth in the SWPPP and is required to report to the MPCA on the status of the plan's implementation on an annual basis; and WHEREAS, the City has placed notification of a public hearing in the City's official newspaper and has held a public hearing to report on progress made in implementation of the SWPPP and to take public testimony; and WHEREAS, comments made during the public hearing will be incorporated into the City Council record. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Golden Valley has determined that no revisions to the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program are required and staff is hereby directed to file the annual report with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
