Member Schmidgall introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2017 BUDGET
OF THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, in 2016, the staff presented a biennial budget cycle with a proposed
2017 current budget year and a 2018 "in concept" budget proposal; and
WHEREAS, this proposed 2017 operating budget resolution and the accompanying
proposed tax levies contained in Resolution 16-78 are submitted by the City in accordance
with Minnesota Statutes and other applicable laws in effect on this date; and
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, that
the 2017 General Fund Budget are hereby given final approval.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Fonnest
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Harris, Fonnest,
Clausen, Snope and Schmidgall and the following voted against the same: none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and his signature attested by the City Clerk.
