17-86 - 12-19 - Accept Public Comment for Body Worn Camera Resolution 17-86 December 19 2017 Member Fonnest introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PUBLIC COMMENT FOR BODY WORN CAMERA PROGRAM WHEREAS, in 2016, the City dedicated $210,000 for body worn cameras and hardware for storage; and WHEREAS, in 2016 and 2017, staff tested body worn camera systems, wrote policies for use of equipment; and WHEREAS, on October 16, 2017, placed an online survey on the city's website for three weeks; and WHEREAS, on December 7, 2017, held an open house for public comment at the police department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, held a public hearing for comment before it purchases or implements a portable recording system. She and M.
