20-68 - 11-04 - Approving Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security CARES Aid Funding State of MinnesotaDocuSign Envelope ID: 30EABF61-5COA-4180-Al2A-616EB1397B8D RESOLUTION NO. 20-68 RESOLUTION APPROVING CORONAVIRUS AID, RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC SECURITY (CARES) AID FUNDING WHEREAS, in 2020, the CARES Act established $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund to provide funds to State, Local, and Tribal Governments responding to the COVID- 19 pandemic. The City of Golden Valley was allocated $1,625,843 in (CARES) Act funding. The funding was received on July 2, 2020, and WHEREAS, the City of Golden Valley followed Guidelines by US Treasury, and reported to the MN Management and Budget Division (MMB), and WHEREAS, the below categories were incurred during the period that begins with March 1, 2020 and ends on November 15, 2020, at which not expended by the City must be sent to State of Minnesota, and WHEREAS, in 2021, the City will conduct a single audit due to the federal grant exceeding $750,000 in 2020, and BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, that the following CARES funds were allocated in the following categories outlined below: Expenditure Budgeted Personnel and Services Diverted to a Substantial Different Use 105,412.31 Facility Distance Learning 2,875.69 Food Programs 100,000.00 Improve Telework Capabilities of Public Employees 60,584.95 Payroll for Public Health and Safety Employees 1,229,021.20 Public Health Expenses 127,948.85 TOTAL $1,625,843.00 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota, has spent all funds and none is due to the State of Minnesota, and Adopted by the City Council of Golden Valley, Minnesota this 4th day of November 2020.
