86-08 HRA Resolution . . . Resolution 86-8 July 8, 1986 Commissioner Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION REVOKING CONDITIONAL DESIGNATION OF DEVELOPER OF PARCELS A-I AND C OF THE VALLEY SQUARE REDEVELOPMENT AREA WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Golden Valley (hereinafter "HRA") and the City Council of the City of Golden Valley (hereinafter "City") approved the Valley Square Redevelopment Plan, as amended; and WHEREAS, the HRA advertised for developers thereof and in Resolution 83-3 conditionally designated United Properties as the developer of parcels within Areas A, C and D of the Valley Square Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, United Properties has failed to meet the conditions of Resolution 83-3 so designating it as developer; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HRA that: 1. It hereby finds that United Properties has failed to meet the conditions of its designation as developer of Parcels within Areas A and C of the Valley Square Redevelopment Area by its breach of Private Development Agreement - Area A-I, its failure to perform at closing under Private Development Agreement - Area A-I, by its failure to meet the requirements of the City for construction or to carry out construction on Area A-I, and its failure to successfully fulfill its contractual responsibilities for Area A-I. 2. It hereby revokes its conditional designation of United Properties as developer of parcels within Areas A-I and C of the Valley Square Redevelopment Area. RaY~~ e adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Commissioner An rson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson, Bakken and Stockman; and the followi ng were absent: Johnson and Thompson; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Chai rand his signature attested by the Director.
