RESOLUTION 91-8

Commissioner Bakken introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SALE OF LAND IN THE MCNAIR MANOR
ADDITION, GOLDEN VALLEY, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA, (EWALD SITE)
TO THE AFFORDABLE SUBURBAN APARTMENT PARTNERSHIP
WHEREAS, the Golden Valley Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA)
owns 1 and descri bed as Lots 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 and that part of Lot 8
lying north of the south 30 feet thereof, Block 3, McNair Manor Addition, Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, this land was secured with funds through federal Community
Development Block Grant program for the purpose of removing blight and further-
ing the City.s community development objectives; and
WHEREAS, a proposal to acquire and develop this land as a rental
townhome project with eight units serving low- and moderate-income families has
been submitted to the HRA by the Affordable Suburban Apartment Partnership
(ASAP).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority
(HRA) in and for the City of Golden Valley that a public hearing to consider
the sale of this property, pursuant to a development agreement, to the
Affordable Suburban Apartment Partnership be called for Tuesday, December 10,
1991 at 4:30P.M. in the Council Chamber of the Golden Valley City Hall.

The motion f. r the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by
Commissione Johnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson and the follow-
ing voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Chair and his signature attested by the
Di rector.
