Commissioner Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
~ RESOLUTION ADOPTING INCOME GUIDELINES FOR LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME FAMILIES
WHEREAS, the Golden Valley Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City
Council on November 16, 1982 calls for the use of available programs, funds and
planning approaches to provide housing opportunities at a cost individuals and
families can afford without compromising essential needs; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority seeks to establish
income guidelines to better define the term "low- and moderate-income family";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority (HRA) in and for the City of Golden Valley, Minnesota that it esta-
blishes income guidelines for low- and moderate-income families as set out by
Section 8 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, for which income is defined
under 24CFR 813.106 (1987), and is changed from time-to-time; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the HRA set as its maximum income level,
incomes at sixty percent (60%) of the median income for the Minneapolis/St. Paul
Metropolitan Statistical Area established under 24CFR 813.106; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the "Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Section 8 Income Limits" in effect November 12, 1991, be attached hereto as
Exhibit A, and said exhibit shall be considered revised and as if adopted
herewith each time it is changed by HUD.

The motion the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by
Commissione Thompson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell, Stockman and Thompson and the
following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted, signed by the Chair and his signature attested by the
Director.
