. Commissioner Russell introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION CONDITIONALLY DESIGNATING HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AS
DEVELOPER OF THE EWALD DAIRY SITE (GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD AND XERXES AVENUE)
WHEREAS', the Housi ng and Redevelopment Authori ty in and for the City of
Golden Valley (hereinafter "HRA") purchased the Ewald Dairy Site on April 2,
1982 with the intent to use the site for housi ng; and
WHEREAS, over the past ten years the HRA has . received several housing pro-
posals from prospective builders and/or developers for the Ewald Dairy Site and
has reviewed those proposals in detail.

NOW, THEREFORE, .BE J T RESOLVED by .the HRA that:
1. It hereby condi ti onally desi gnates Habitat for Humanity as the
developer of the Ewal d Dai ry Si te as shown on the attached map,
on the conditions that (a) it meet all requirements of the City
and HRA including, but not limited to, all building 'and zoning
requirements in addition to requirements for a development
agreement;andJb) it negotiate and enter into a satisfactory
development agreement with .the HRA and which meets all require-
ments of the HRA. Designation of Habitat for Humanity is not
to be construed as binding on the .HRAand the HRA may withdraw
its designation of Habitat for Humanity at anytime.
2. It hereby authorizestheHRA staff tonegoti ate a development
a9r~ement with Habitat for H"m~;:~a~He.

The motio for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by
Commi ssi onerJohnson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the foll owi ng voted
in favor thereof: Bakken, Johnson, Russell and Stockman (Thompson absent); and
the followingvoted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was
decl aredduly passed and adopted, si gned by the Chai r and hi s si gnature attested
by the Di rector.
