Commissioner Johnson introduced the following and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CONDITIONAL DESIGNATION OF
MEPC AMERICAN PROPERTIES, INC. AS DEVELOPERS OF
THE AREA WEST OF XENIA AVENUE IN THE GOLDEN HILLS
REDEVELOPMENT AREA
WHEREAS, the HRA in and for the City of Golden Valley (hereinafter
IIHRAII) and the City Council for the City of Golden Valley (hereinafter IICityll)
have approved the Golden Hills Redevelopment Plan' as amended:
WHEREAS, the HRA extended the conditional designation of MEPC American
Properties, Inc. (hereinafter IIMEPCII) as developer of a portion of the Golden
Hills Redevelopment Area west of Xenia Avenue (the IIWest Areall) in Resolution
94-6 adopted May 10, 1994;
WHEREAS, the conditional designation of MEPC contemplated that it
would develop the property, own it and lease it to others; and
WHEREAS, the HRA desires to amend the designation of MEPC.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the HRA as follows:

1. MEPC's conditional designation in Resolutions 92-8 and 94-6 as devel-
oper of the area west of Xenia Avenue in the Golden Hills Redevelopment
Area is amended hereby.
2. In the event that a person wishes to develop and own a development
within the area included within MEPC's conditional designation, it is
understood that the HRA may deal directly with the owner/developer or
its agents and designate them developers for the specific parcels
involved.
3. The conditional designation is not to be construed as binding on the
HRA.

Motion for the ption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Commissioner
Micks and upon a vote taken thereon, the fallowing voted in favor thereof:
Johnson, Micks, Russell, Thompson and Tremere and the follOWing voted against
the same; none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Chair and his signature attested by the Director.
