Commissioner Johnson introduced the following and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF "QUICK-TAKE" CONDEMNATION
FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE
GOLDEN HILLS REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND
APPROVING APPRAISAL VALUE THEREFOR
(MIDLAND WELDING, 6010 WAYZATA BOULEVARD)
WHEREAS, by Resolution 94-5 the HRA on May 10, 1994 authorized the
acquisition of the "Midland Welding" property (described on attached Exhibit A)
by purchase or condemnation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that such property be acquired as soon as
possible for redevelopment purposes in the Golden Hills Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, the HRA has obtained an appraisal of the value of the property
by a competent appraiser.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HRA in and for the City of Golden
Va 11 ey that:
1. It is necessary, desirable and in the public interest that the "Midland
Welding" property, legally described on attached Exhibit A, be acquired as soon
as possible;

2. The HRA staff and attorney, or such other persons as necessary, are
hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary steps to acquire such pro-
perty by the "quick-take" method provided in the Minnesota Statutes and all
actions of the staff and attorney to accomplish it are hereby approved and rati-
fied; and,
3. Having reference to a competent fair market value appraisal of the sub-
ject property, the HRA hereby approves the sum of $280,000 as its approved
appraisal value of the subject property.

tion of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Commissioner
Tremere and n a vote taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Johnson, Micks, Russell, Thompson and Tremere and the following voted against
the same; none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
signed by the Chair and his signature attested by the Director.
