03-10 HRA Resolution . Resolution 03-10 November 18, 2003 Commissioner Johnson introduced the following and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION CONDITIONALLY EXTENDING THE DESIGNATION OF WILLIAM E. BERGQUIST AS DEVELOPER OF A PORTION OF THE HENNEPIN COUNTY SHERIFF'S SITE WHEREAS, the HRA in and for the City of Golden Valley (hereinafter "HRA") has worked with Hennepin County to purchase excess land east of the Hennepin County Dispatch Center to be replatted into a single parcel of approximately 5 acres; and, WHEREAS, William E. Bergquist (hereinafter "Developer") has expressed an interest in partnering with the HRA and Habitat for Humanity to develop a housing subdivision with 16 affordable and market-rate units in keeping with the design guidelines adopted by the HRA on August 14, 2001; and, WHEREAS, the HRA wishes to further explore the purchase of the Hennepin County site and work with William E. Bergquist on its development; and, . WHEREAS, delays in negotiating a Purchase Agreement with Hennepin County and a Development Agreement with William E. Bergquist necessitate an extension in the period of designation for William E. Bergquist. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the HRA as follows: 1. The original developer designation of William E. Bergquist as set forth in Resolution 03-04 is hereby extended through December 9,2003 to develop a 5 acre site which the Housing and Redevelopment Authority is currently negotiating to purchase as excess property from Hennepin County. 2. All the other conditions as outlined in Resolution 03-04 remain in place. ATTEST: . Motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Commissioner Grayson; and upon a vote taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Grayson, Johnson, LeSuer, Loomis and Tremere; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Chair and his signature attested by the Director.
