Resolution 05-02
April 12, 2005
Commissioner Loomis introduced the following and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE EXPIRATION OF THE DESIGNATION
OF DAVID WEBB AS DEVELOPER OF A PORTION OF
THE GOLDEN HILLS REDEVELOPMENT AREA
(1201 South Turner's Crossroad and the
MnDOT Parcel East of the Golden Hills Shopping Center)
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City
of Golden Valley (hereinafter "HRA") on February 1 0, 2004, adopted Resolution
04-03 conditionally designating David Webb as developer of a portion of the
Golden Hills RedevelopmentArea (1201 South Turner's Crossroad and the
MnDOT Parcel East of the Golden Hills Shopping Center), which designation
was subsequently extended by Resolution 04-09 adopted on July 13, 2004; and
WHEREAS, on October 31, 2004, said designation, as extended, expired
according to its terms; and
WHEREAS, Webb has not performed the timely reconstruction of the
Golden Hills Shopping Center, which creates uncertainty regarding his ability to
provide for the timely redevelopment of the land included in this designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HRA that it hereby
confirms the expiration of the revocable designation of David Webb as developer
of 1201 South Turner's Crossroad and the MnDOT Parcel East of the Golden
Hills Shopping Center.
