Summary
The Golden Valley Planning Commission advises City Council on matters relating to the growth and
development of the city. The commission makes recommendations on a variety of land use issues,
including updates to the Comprehensive Plan, city policies, zoning code updates, and planning
applications.
Every year the planning commission drafts a work plan based on these duties and responsibilities as
well as City Council direction and the commission’s interests. The proposed 2025 work plan is based on
previous work sessions held by the Planning Commission with and current City Council priorities.
Recommended Action
Approve the 2025 work plan and authorize staff to bring the work plan to City Council for final
approval later this year.
