City of Golden ValleyOpen Space & Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes 2 March 27, 2023 – 6:30pm Birno said afterthe initial neighborhood request for more equipment, he did request a quote to add an additional feature to the park play structure. The estimate for the purchase, delivery, and installation was approximately $10K. Commissioner Cornelius asked about a neighborhood donation as an option. Birno said the City Council has discussed this issue and does not support any additional city funds for an improvement to the play structure, nor do they support accepting donations from the neighborhood for improvements, as it may not be equitable to all Golden Valley neighborhood parks. Commissioners agreed they would like to see options with budget estimates for an addition to the play structure.
