,GOLDEN VALLEY HUMAN SERVICES FOUNDATION
MINUTES OF JANUARY 25, 1993
GOLDEN VALLEY CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM
MEMBERS PRESENT: Don Anderson; Jeff Loeb; Ed Hara; Gloria Johnson; Ruth Heaner;
Cal StoIa; Sue Virnig, Staff Liaison;
MEMBERS ABSENT: Terri Mattson (excused); Jack Cole (excused);
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chair Jeff Loeb.
1. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the minutes of the meeting of
November 2, 1992 as mailed, with amendments adding Sue Virnig as being present,
and making Cal Stoll's absence as excused due to a death in his family.
2. The foundation members were given a presentation by representatives of the
Union City Mission, parent organization of Home Free Shelter. The representatives
were: Isabelle (Bunny) Robinson; Cyndi Cook; Pat Murphy; and Nancy Senn;
3. The next item of business was a presentation by Mike Melstad and Molly DePreks
of the YMCA detached worker program.
4. The foundation members were of the concensus,thatbothorganizationsmet:the
standards established to receive Golden Valley Foundation support.
5. Chairman Loeb reported that the Golden Valley City Council approved the recom-
mendations made for granting funds at the November 2, 1992 meeting.
6. The next Foundation meeting will be on Monday, March 29, 1993 at 7:00 pm in the
Golden Valley City Council Conference Room.
7. The agenda items for the March 29, 1993 meeting will include:
A. Review the current financial statement of the Foundation.
B. Review the 1993 Foundation procedures for solicitation of funding needs.
C. Report on the Foundation appointments effective April 1, 1993.
D. Review the final 1992 Foundation funding report.
E. Receive a presentation from either/or PRISM and the Senior Outreach group.
8. There being no further business, the meeting was ajourned at 8:58 pm.
