Minutes of the June 9th, 1997 Meeting
Golden Valley City Offices, Council Conference Room
Members Present: Bob Blenkush, Sharon Mattison, Duane Wosj~ Sue Virnig. Elissa Heilicher, Bob

Meeting was called to order at 7: lOPM by Bob Lang. new Chair
MiDutes: Elissa Heilicher moved and Sharon Mattison seconded the motion to approve the minutes af
May l~ 97. Passed UII811imously.
GVBS Foundation Bylaws' Bylaws were passed as is with a motion by Robbin RouillaId and seconded
by Elissa Heilicber; Passed UIlJ:lJ1;mously.
Flower Sale: Sharon Mattison reponed on the results of the Flower Sale. Ideas for the future included
sending the postcard out the week of the sal~ promoting the sale with large signage at the site prior to the
sale, accepting orders early for de1ively day of the sale, and ~"teDding presale promotion and distribution
of information on the sale and the organization. Additional oomments included our pricing as
oompetitive but not considered a Good Deal. This is due to the agreement with the coop to cover their
distribution mark. The committee will revisit the value aftbe sale next year.
Golden Valley OpeD BOUie June 18"'.: The GVHS Foundation will have a table set up at the outdoor
{unction wlth brochures on tile golftoumament. t-shirts. note cards and a prize drawing for an individual
participant in the tournament Volunteers weJ'e asked to sit at the table during the event.
Golf Tournament: Robbin Rouillard con:finned current sponsors aDd Harlan provided the logos currently
available. Robbin will follow up with those lDissing and target the Open House for a finished brocbure.
Tbis brochure win begin to accept sign-ups for the tournament from individual golfers as well as
oontinuing sponsorship and gift solicitation. Bob Lang and Sharon Mattison are meeting with Kns
Tovson and attending the Lilac Open to review volunteer and logistic needs.
Walk RIm Emit: Sue mentioned that a new T-shirt is needed for tlrls event Elissa will solicit sponsors
for participation. Sue will have an information sheet at the GV Open House to announce and promote the
event We will review again at the next meeting.
The llext scheduled meeting is July 14th.
Robbin Rouillard moved adjournment at 3:35 PM and was seconded by Bob Blenkush. The motion passed
unanimously.
