Minutes.of the February 8, 1999 Meeting
Golden Valley Council Conference Room
Members Present: Hilmer Erickson, Karen Neis, Bob Lang and Sue Virnig, Staff
liaison. Mary Anderson, Golden Valley Mayor, attended as guest.
Members Absent: Rod Wooten, Jeff Hansen, Lori Heilman, Terri DeVeau,
Gloria Johnson, Carolyn Fiterman, Elissa Heilicher and Duane Wosje.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by Acting Vice Chair
Pro tern Bob Lang.
Approval of Minutes: The minutes of the January meeting could not be
approved due to lack of quorum.
Run the Valley: The date is set for April 17, 1999 at 8:30am.
Publicitv: Flyers are ready and posters will be made for the run.
Sponsors: Karen Neis is trying to get some donuts from Byerly's for the run.
Other: Ash gray was decided for the color of the T-shirt. 500 T-shirts will be
ordered. 300 will have the back side printed on for the run. Bob Lang would work
on criteria for a T-shirt design in the future.
Other: Pulltab revenue has come in at $40,144 for 1998. It came in $7010.00
more than 1997.
Mayor's report: Mary Anderson complimented the Golden Valley Foundation on
their hard work over the last year. She asked the Commission if they had any
specific needs in the candidates they would be interviewing for the Commission.
Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 7:45pm.
