Section 4.06: House and Building Numbering
Subdivision 1. Assignment
It is the duty of the City Building Official to prepare and maintain a system of house
and building numbering for the City and to assign specific numbers to all houses
and other buildings.

Subdivision 2. Installation
The owners of all houses and other buildings, after assignment, shall install and
maintain a number in accordance with such assignment, which numbers shall be no
less than three inches high, permanent in nature, of contrasting color to the
background, and clearly visible from the street. The numbers shall be Arabic
numbers.

Subdivision 3. Unlawful Act
It is unlawful for any person, not the owner of the property, to remove, damage,
destroy or obliterate a building number.
