10.68 - Outdoor Boilers§ 10.68 Section 10.68: Outdoor Boilers Subdivision 1. Purpose This ordinance is intended to promote the health, safety and welfare and to safeguard the health, comfort, living conditions, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City due to the air pollution and fire hazards of outdoor burning in outdoor boilers. Subdivision 2. Definition As used in this Section, "outdoor boiler" means a fuel burning device that is designed to burn wood or other fuel that is installed outdoors or in structures not normally intended for habitation by humans or domesticated animals which heats building space or water via the distribution -typically through pipes - of a fluid heated in the device. Subdivision 3. Prohibited Acts No person may install, use or maintain an outdoor boiler, nor allow anyone else to install, use or maintain an outdoor boiler.
