OF THE
HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
May 17, 2011
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said City on May 17, 2011 at 6:01 pm, in the City
Council Chambers.
The following members were present: Chair Paula Pentel and Commissioners Mike
Freiberg, Linda Loomis and DeDe Scanlon; and the following was absent: Bob Shaffer.
Also present were HRA Director Thomas Burt, HRA Attorney Allen Barnard,Assistant HRA
Director Jeanne Andre, Finance Director Sue Virnig, Director of Public Works Jeannine
Clancy and Administrative Assistant Judy Nally.
North Wirth Area Redevelopment -Tax Increment Financinq District 3 - Termination
of Note and Decertification of District (Resolution 11-03)
Chair Pentel introduced the agenda item.
Thomas Burt stated the bank in the waning hour did pay off the entire note. The HRA does
have the option to go with the recommended action but staff would recommend taking no
action at this time. There is a question of ownership at this point, because if the ownership
changes the HRA may have to amend the agreement.
The HRA took no action on Resolution 11-3, Resolution Terminating a Note Issued
Pursuant to the GVEC Properties LLC Private Development Agreement as Amended and
Recommending the Amendment of the North Wirth Tax Increment Financing District to
Discontinue the Collection of Increment Generated from Certain Parcels.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:03 pm.
