The regular meting of the Golden Valley Park Board was held
at the home of J.G.Boyer 6500 Phoenix St. at 8:OOp.m. April, ROLL CALL
11, 1951 with President, J.G.Boyer, presiding. il.r. I+ioes,
Vicepresident, was absent. Minutes of the March 14 meeting MINUTES
were read and approved.
A motion was made and seconded that the Pafk Board buy 500 ELM TREES
Elm trees at 10� apiece. ORDERED
On April 16, 1951 the Park Board received an acknowledgment ELM TREES
from Sherman Nurxery in Charles City, Iowa that 500 Elm SHIPPED
trees had been sent to Golden Valley.
On April 20, 1951 the Golden Valley road department planted ELM TREES
the elm trees under Mr. Bies's supervision in nursery rows PLANTED
on Mr. Bies's property.
On April 22, 1951 Mr. Bies and Mr. John A. Johnson used the ELM TREES
village equipment for watering the trees. WATERED
A letter was received from the Golden Valley Garden Club TREE FOR
asking permission to plant a red maple In Belmont Park. The MRS. SEEMAN
tree to be an award of merit to Mrs. Paul Seeman for being
an outstanding gardener.
