MINUTES OF THE REGULAR 1LEETING
PARK BOARD
Village of Golden Valley
August - 1956
On August 8, 1956 the Golden Valley Park Board met in regular
session in the village hall. Present were Stockman, Gustafson
and Ostroot.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
LIONS PARK back -stop and swing -set installations completed. The
Lions Club treasurer.reported payment of $900.00 to Crowley
Fence Co., $600.00 to apply on back -stop and $300.00 to apply
on swing -set. Homedale 17,aarsery will complete clay and sand
baselines as soon as weather permits, and the village engineer
advises that he will have the outfield smooth -graded by the
village crew and suggests Fall seeding of same. rtSC that such
be ordered and village engineer so notified.
MSC that a letter be written to the Golden Valley P aptist Church
in answer to their request that we fulfill terms of our agreement
of 7 June 1955• Copy of reply in files.
PAPOOSE PARK RISC that Crowley Fence Co. be hired to install the
swing -set which was removed for filling and gradin- and that
100 pounds of park grass seed be purchased to be applied by the
local committee.
SCHEID PARK has not been graded due to unfavorable weather but the
village engineer informs us that he has it on his schedule to be
done as soon as the ground is dry enough to permit grading.
The next regular meeting will be held ori September 11, 1956.
