PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION
August 14,1967
A special meeting of the Golden Valley Park & Recreation Commission
was held on Monday, August 14, 1967, at 9:00 p.m. at the Civic
Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota. Chairman
Roelke presided and Byrnes, Petersen and Sullivan were present.
Absent were Anderson and Oukrop. Also present were Direcl.rJohn
Brenna and Secretary Phyllis Jordahl.
1968 BUDGET
The Park & Recreation Commission reviewed the 1968 Budget.
MOVED by John Byrnes, seconded by John Sullivan, unanimously
carried that the budget as presented be accepted and be submitted
to the Village Manager as follows: -
Recreation $ 64,320.00
Park 72,906.00
Capital Outlay 18,766.00

$155,992.00
MILL LEVY
Discussion ensued regarding a possible mill levy for capital
development relative to the park system. After much discussion
it was MOVED by Dr Petersen, seconded by John Sullivan, and
unanimously carried to request the Park & Recreation Director to
provide lists of priorities on park construction for 1968 and to
run the construction priorities up to a three mill levy.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:15 p.m.
