Mrs. Thorson also stated that about six miles of trails could be constructed this year. After much discussion, it was pointed out that a time table for reaching the Village Council should be set. It was decided that the Trails Committee should come back to the next Park and Recreation Commission meeting with firm up proposals, and at that time a date will be set for a presentation to the Village Council. At this time,Dr. Strue, a member of the Trails Committee, pointed out that according to our November minutes relative to the Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary located east of Briarwood, that no chip trail would be established. Dr. Strue stated that roto - tilling and a trail way was being established and he wanted to know why it was being done. Mr. Brenna stated that the roto - tilling was needed to help in the planting of 800 trees and shrubs that the garden clubs will be planting in about two weeks. Mr. Brenna stated that when the dump fills up the Village hauls the refuse to a public dumping area.
