SPECIAL MEETING
GOLDEN VALLEY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION
July 16, 1973
A special meeting of the Golden Valley Park and Recreation
Commission was held at 7:00 p.m, on Monday, July 16, 1973,
at the Golden Valley Village Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Road,
Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Chairman Brown presided and the following members were
present: Burmeister, Duebner, Hammer, Kelby, Petersen,
Gergen. Absent: Jackson and Thrall.
TRAIL SYSTEM
At this time, the trail system was discussed from the stand-
point of its presentation to the Village Council. After
much discussion, it was pointed out that two areas of
Village owned property that had attributes for trail use
were not included in the trail presentation.
At this time, Mr. Brenna pointed out that area which lies
along Bassetts Creek between Noble and Regent Avenues, and
that area at the end of Adeline Lane.
After lengthy discussion on the above, it was moved by
Burmeister, seconded by Kelby, that we accept the long range
plan as outlined by Mr. Brenna for Outlot #1 (that area
along Bassetts Creek from Noble to Regent Avenues) if it
is approved by Council for park usage. Carried.
Further discussion developed relative to the lot at the end
of Adeline Lane. Discussion concerning such items of
access, litter, safety, etc., were brought forth.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, it was moved by Hammer and
seconded by Duebner to adjourn the meeting at eight thirty
p.m.. Carried.
