Summary
Minnesota Statute 205.185 sub. 3 states the canvassing of the election results must be conducted
between the third and tenth days after an election. At this meeting, the City Council shall be acting as
the Election Canvassing Board to canvass the returns and declare the results of the election.
As shown by the accompanying report which is certified by the City Clerk, the votes received by each
candidate for the city offices are as follows:

Staff recommends that the Canvassing Board declare that the following candidates have been elected
commencing on the first regularly scheduled meeting of January, 2018.
