The preliminary plan is to increase from three sergeants to four and to create a lieutenant position. Considerable discussion was engendered on the possibility of having additional supervisory help to provide more opportunity for planning, etc. Also, whether there would be merit in having a consulting firm assess and recommend on organization and on hiring procedures. The Commission agreed on the desirability of requiring the lieutenant candidate to have experience as sergeant. Therefore, it was agreed to amend the Regulations at the next meeting. The existing and proposed organizations are shown attached. 12 Publication of legal notice for sergeant examination ( & possibly for lieutenant) is tentatively scheduled for June 27. 13 Next meeting is scheduled for 7:30 pm on June 4 at the home of Com Glass. 14 The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 pm.
