Meeting of February 6, 1973

Chairman Meyer called the meeting to order at 7 :50 P.M.
Minutes of the December 11 , 1972, meeting were approved
as mailed.
The organization of the Golden Valley Police Civil Service
Commission for 1973 is as follows :
Chairman: Pierre Meyer
Secretary: John Mitchell
Member: Robert Heckmar_
Received a written report from Dave Gorski, Director of
Public Safety. Dave informed the commission that the police
department is or�e officer below the staff of last year.
The expiration dates of various registers is as follows :
Police officer - February l , 1973
Sergeant - February 9, 1973
Lieutenant - July 25, 1974
Police officer test is to be given February 10, 1973.
The activities of 1972 were reviewed by the Chairman. The
1973 plans include an update of the rules and regulations of the
Civil Service Conmission of Golden Valley.

Proposed agendas for future con�ission meetings will be
mailed to members�f the conn�ission prior to the meeting, and will
also be publicized in a suitable manner for community notification.
The commission will be giving consideration to developing .
tests for police officer, sergeant, and lieutenant.
The next meeting is tentatively set for February 27, 1973,
at 7 :30 PM. Purpose of the meeting is to develop the plans for
interviews of potential police officers.
Meeting was adjourned at 9 :00 P.M.
