11-01-38 City Council MinutesNov. 1,1938. .T 5 Meeting called to order by the chairmanPaul A.Seeman. Members present:-Seeman,Engelbreteorn and Jahhnson. Mmmbres absent:Reiss and Frandsen. Minutes of the previous meetimg read.There being no corrections or objections minutes declared accepted as read. Minutes of the special meeting heldOot.25th. were read and approved. Motion by Engelbretson seconded by Johnson tv adapt the following resolution. "Whereas representations have been made to the council of the village of Golden Valley,that a deficiency exists in the budget allowance of direct relief recipents for grocery allowance, and Whereas,after holding several hearings os this subject it has been brought to the attention of the Council that a #I.00 per month increase in oases of one person and that corresponding increases where unite of more than one person are involved based upon schedules of efficiency due to the fact of larger quanity,purehases and savings would be desirable,there�fore,be it resolved that we concure in such request to the best of our ability to meet such additional demands upon us,provides,however,that we decline such increased allowance if and when it appears that a dsficiancy is apparent in our relief budget. Motion by Engelbretson seconded by Johnson -to grant Sigmund Leet special building permit as recommended by the Special committee of the planning commissioir_.-for the constructiozr of a two story home on let ten block four in Delphian Heights.
