01-16-40 City Council MinutesJanuary 16,1940 90 Meeting was called to order by the chairman Raymond T Raskoo. Members present: Raskop, Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg = ilson. inutes of theprevious meeting were read. Minutes with corrections made were accented as read. Motion by Tolg seconded by Frandsen that the fee for the building inspector be 60% of the fees collected. Raskon) Frandsen, Reiss, Tolg, Wilson ( Yes ) A report from the village attorney in regard to the petition from the prooerty owners in Delphian Heights will be given at the next meeting. Lotion by Tolg seconded by Frandsen that the V.P.A. forman be authorized to have the road overseer move s shed to a new winter project. Raskoo. Frandsen) Reiss, Tolg 'kilson. ( Yes ) A report from the committee investigating new N.P.A. projects for the balance of the winter months was read. Kotion by Frandsen seconded by Tolg that the report of the committee be adopted. Leonard Bies received three vot°s Al Vic Ginnis received one vote— One blank ballot was cast. Leonard Bies was voted road overseer for the year 1940. The chairman brought up the matter of the franchise with the northern States Power Co. for discuss:Lon.A committee of two IvZ,Reiss and Yr. Raskoo, Frandsen, Riess, Tolg, �lrilson ( Yes ) .Iv_otion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resolution: I I 1 January 16,1940 `- 1 Resolved : By the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, County o f Hennepin and the State of kinnesota, That pursuant to Chapter 272, Laws of 1939, the salary of the President of the Council of the Village of Golden Valley is hereby fixed at 012.50 per month during his present term in office and the salary of each trustee of the Village of Golden Valley is hereby fixed at $7.50 per month during his present term in office. It is further resolved that the salary of the Recorder -of the Vill;gg of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, is hereby fixed at x,15.00 Per month for the year 1940. The Council heard all persons desiring to be heard in reference to this petition. No one appeared against this petition. Ver. Frandsen and Kr. Tolg were appointed a committee of two to inspect this road and report bock to the council with their recommondations.
