A Treasrers report was read and placed on file. Reports froal the l'.P.A.foriran and the'chairman of the Road 'Committee were given. motion by Frand-n seconded busch to adopt the following Ordinance: ASST ORDIN.AI`CE A1TI LADING THAT CERTAIN ORDINAL?CE RELATING TO FIREWOR.KS AND TO PREVENT THE UNTLA7FUL DISCHARGE OF FIREARITS PASSED RY THE VILLAGE "OM'CIL OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY ON JANUARY 6th, 1925 AT,'D PIMLISHED AS REQUIRED BY LAW ON .APRIL 16th, 1925. The Village council of the Uillpge of rsolden Valley do ordain as folloirs: Section I. No person shall hereafter -fire off, d.ischr=.rge or explodeany gun, 17,istol, or other 1,rreapon upon a.ny street, alley, -,venue or public place in said village, except as provided hereinafter in this ordinance. Section 2. No person or )errlons shall dircharrre firearms or. trespass ,A,ith dogs or guns in any part of said village without a permit from the villao-e council, which permit shall be in t-riting. Section 'A. Nothing in this ordinance shr:.11 be construed to embrace ?,ny firing of a, gun, pistol or species of f'irea.rms when done in the laTTful defense of persons or property or family, or the necessary enforcement of the lar. Section 4. zany person, cornoration or association desiring to fire off any salute or exhibit any dirnla.y of fireworks -ithin the limits of said village shall first obtain the permission of the villave council or the president of said council to the firing of such'- salute uch salute or disrolay of such fireworks, rhich such permission shall be in v+riting and shall designate the place where and the time when such salute shall be fired, or d i splay of fires,orks t?.ke place. 26 section 5. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof before the village court or any justice of said village, for each and every offense be punished by a, fine not exceeding Fifty (11,1150) Dollars and costs of prose- cution, and in default of payment thereof, be imprisdned in the county jail until such fine and costs are paid, not exceeding sixty (60) days. AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SPEED ZONES AND SPEED RESTRICTIONS UPON CERTAIN STREETS AND ROAM%,AYS IN THE VILLAGE' . GOLDEN VALLEY. The Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley do ordain as follows: Section 1. No person shall drive a motor veiiele on any of the follow- ing designated streets and roadways in the Village of Golden Valley at a, speed in e :cess of thy; 1�pits hereinafter brescribed. r k 1. 20 miles Baer hour on all improved streets,,and roadways in the Tyrol Hills and the west Tyrol Hill addition. 2. 30 miles per hour on the following streets and roadways: (a) meadow Lane Avenue from the northerly boundary of vest Tyrol Hill to a point on the southerly side of Eighth Avenue North. (b) Glenwood -Camden Parkway from the southerly limits of the Village of Golden Valley to the easterly village limits. (c) Sixth Avenue North from the easterly limits of the Village of Golden Valley to a point on the easterly side of Jean Avenue. (d) Sixth Avenue North from a point on the easterly side of its intersection with Glenwood. Avenue to a ndint on the westerly side of the intersection of Sixth .Avenue North i ith 1- innetka Avenue. 1 April 1;1941 27 3. 40 miles ner hour on the following streets and roadways: (a) Glenwood Avenue from a point on the resterly side of Meadow Lane Avenue to a point on the southerly side of Sixth Avenue North. (b) Sixth Avenue North from a point on the westerly side of jean Avenue to a. point on the easterly side of Glenwood Avenue, thence from a point on the Testerly side of Winnetka Avenue to the westerly limits of said village. (c) Nineteenth Avenue North (commonly known as the Golden Valley Road) from the easterly limits of said village to a point on the northerly side of StIh Avenue North. (d) 1111'edicine Lal�-e Road from a point on the westerly side of Golden Valley Road to the easterly village limits. (e) Winnetka Avenue from a point on the northerly side of 1?.,'ayzata Boulevard (Trunk Highway 412) to the north- erly village limits. 4. 50 miles per hour on the following streets and roadways: (a.) T,,en(:-4elsohn Avenue from the southerly limits of said village to the northerly village limits. I Section 12# This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its 'passage according to law and after the approval thereof by the Commissioner of Highways of the State of Minnesota.
