The meeting was called to orderby the Chairman Raymond T.Raskop.
-Members present Raskop,'Frandsen, Reiss =`a`ilson.

Minutes of the regular Council meeting held July 15th and the
special Council meeting held July 29th were read.
-Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the minutes of the Council
meetings held July 15th and July 29th stand approved.

Treasurers reports for July 1 and July 15th were read and ordered
placed on file.
Mr. Thompson,an attorney representing miss Andrews, Mr.Green, and
the Village attorney Kr.Bradley decided to call a meeting to find
a solution to a drainage problem in West Tyrol Hills. Mr.Thompson
suggested that a plan be presented at the next Council -Meeting.
-Motion by +Jilson seconded by Reiss that the platt of the-Moorehaven
Addition be accepted subject to the recommendation of the Planning
Commisibon.

The Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley do ordain as
Section 1.
Section 3, paragraph 17, Sub -division h of the coning Ordinance of
the Village of Golden Valley is hereby amended to read as follows:
There shall be a front yard, a rear yard and two side yards provided
for all dwellings. yo rear yard shall be less than 20 per cent of the
lot depth in any case. No side yard shall be less than 15 feet in width,

except as follows: Where lots were 'b%* or sub -divided prior to the
enactment of said coning Ordinance, the side yard in such lots shall be

not less than 5 feet on the Forth or Joest side thereof, and not less than
9 feet on the South or Last sides, where such lots average not less than
40 feet nor more than 50 feet in width. Where sucl lots averase not less

The Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley do ordain
as follows:
Section I.
That after the passage of this ordinance, the miniui, depth of all
yells thereafter drilled or constructed for residentual purposes and
use within the li_i.its of the Village of Golden Valley shall be
not less than 60 feet.

The meeting was called to order by the President.
The President announced that the bids for the street improvement in
Glen Urban First Addition and Glen Urban Second Addition would now be considered
pursuant to the action taken by the Village Council on July 1 and July 15.
The Clerk submitted the recommendation of the Engineer and Road
Committee from. the Districts affected.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING

IMPROVEMENT NO. 2.
7 MEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids duly published in
the official newspaper and in the Improvement Bulletin, bids were duly
received, opened, and tabulated for the construction of a wearing surface
on July 1, 1941; and
WMRE.AS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids duly published in
the official newspaper and in the Improvement Bulletin, bids were duly received,
opened, and tabulated for the construction of cobblestone gutters on July 15, 1941;
and
AREAS, said bids were referred to the Engineer and Clerk and
representatives of the interested property owners for their examination and
report; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer recommends that the bid of J. W. Craig for
the construction of a wearing surface and the bid of Bonander and Company for
the construction of cobblestone gutters be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the VillaL�e
of Golden Valley, as follows:
1. The bid of J. W. Craig for the construction of a wearing
surface and seal coats on certain streets in Glen Urban First Addition and
Glen Urban Second Addition heretofore designated as Street Improvement
No. 2 of the Village of Golden Valley, at a price of 08678.84, be and the
same is hereby deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted by responsible
bidders and is hereby accepted.
2. The bid of Bonander and Company for the construction of
cobblestone gutters on certain streets in Glen Urban First Addition and Glen
Urban Second Addition heretofore designated as Street Improvement No. 2 of
the Village of Golden Valley, at a price of $8810.50, be and the same is
hereby deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted by responsible bidders
and is hereby accepted.
3. The President and Clerk shall sign contracts with the success-
ful bidders in form satisfactory to the Village Attorney.
4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to return to all
other bidders the deposits made with their bids, and the deposits of the
successful bidders shall be retained until a contract has been executed and
a bond for the performance of the work has been given and accepted.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was adopted

RESOLUTION FIXING TOTAL COST OF INPROVM�INT AND DIRECTING
SALE OF WARRANTS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley as follows:
I# The total cost of the street improvement in the Village -of
Golden Valley heretofore designated as Street Improvement No. 2, is hereby
determined to be $21,500.
2, The Village Council hereby determines that the entire cost
of said improvement shall be assessed .,gainst the property benefited'thereby,.
said assessment to be spread over a period of ten years.
3. In order to provide for the payment of the cost of said
improvement there is hereby created a fund to be known as "Fund of Street
Improvement No. 2", into which shall be paid all moneys received from
assessments hereafter levied for said improvement and the receipts from the
sale of warrants as hereinafter provided, and out of said fund shall be
paid the cost of said improvement and the principal of and interest on said
warrants when and as the same shall become due.
4* In anticipation of the collection of special assessments, it
is hereby determined to issue and sell $19,500 Street Improvement No. 2
Warrantst in the denomination of $1000 each, except No. 1, which shall be in
the denomination of $500, all dated July 1, 1941, bearing interest at the
rate hereafter set by the purchaser thereof but not exceeding site per cent
per annum, and to mature serially on January 1 in the amount of .41500 in
1943 and $2000 in each of the years 1944 to 1952, both inclusive, all warrants
to be callable In inverse order as to number and maturity on any interest
payment date on payment of a premium of four per cent, if redemption is made
on or prior to July 1, 1946, and at par if redemption is made thereafter.
5. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to arran7,9
for the sale of warrants in accordance with this resolution, and shall agree
to furnish to the purellhasor thereof the printed warrants and the approving
legal opinion of Messrs. Pletcher, Dorsey, B4rker,, Colman r-, Barber of Minneapolis,
Minnes:ta, without cost to the purchaser.
The above resolution was unanimously adopted by the vote of all
