10-28-41 Special MeetingOct. 28,1941 The meeting was called to order by the hairman Raymond T.Raskop. uembers present Raskop, Frandsen, Reiss Busch Wilsob Minutes of the previous council meeting were read and approved A Treasurers repott was read and odered placed on file. The Bldg Inspector gave a report on the Taller Homes located in the Village. The Village attorney gave a report on the new ordinance book Arvid Johnson gave a report on theAdown on the cobble stone cutters in the Glen Urban and Glen Urban 2nd Addition. The Bolanderr Co. asked the Council for a letter stating that two thirds of the cobble stone cutters had been completed. .potion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the clerk nostpone , writing a letter to the Bolander Co. until the project is completed Theb a tour of inspection will be made and a completion bond should be ffiau3aished as a protection for the faulty work done on Readow Lane Ave, Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch 'Wilson (YES) otion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to grant the N.`119.Bell Tel.Co permit to erect poles as requested. Motion by Frabdsen seconded by Busch that this letter be referred to the Village Attorney for his recommendation. A letter from H.E .Thompson, reqesting the Council to take action approving the assignment by Edward Knaublauch.a.nd directing that th the on sale liquor dnd beer licenses be transferred to H.E. ThonDso-M wa s read. Mr. �rilliams, an attorney, represented fir. Knaublauch and �r. Chesn also an attorney, represented 1r. Thompson. After a lengthy discussuion by these two attorneys, u11r Kane,the Village Attorney gave his opion to the Council On the suggestion of the Chairman of the Council these two parties ret&iedd froth the hall for a final discusstng The chairman suggested a courtisey cRrd system of new. -families moving into Golden Valley. This suggestion was tabled. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch to adopt the following resolution. Dedication of Road. TRIS INDENTURE, made this 23td day of Oct 1941, between Nels Frandsen single, of the County of Heenpein, State of kinn, party of the first, and the Village of Golden Valley, a municipal corporation, of the County of Hennepin, State of Minn, party of the second -part. 5ITNESSETH; that the said party of the firstpart , for value received, hereby dedicates to second party herein, for the use of the public, the following strip of land owned by first party herein located within the Village limits of second party herein and in said County and State, same being described as follows: That part of the of the S.E.4 of the S.E.w of section 32 township 118 north range 21 Tv of th 5th principal meridian discribed : a strip of land 60 feet in width being 30 feet on each side of the center line discribed as follows: Beginning inthe North line of the said 9-� at a point distant 239.2 feet west froi the North east corner of the said Vti-El, thence south&yly a distance of 787 feet, more or less, to a point in the center line of Glebwood Ave., which point is 341 feet northwesterly measured alon the center line of Gleenwood, Ave,from the intersection of the center line of the said Ave. and the East line of the'said 'W -L excepting therefrom that part taken for Glenwood Ave, First party herein, in behalf of himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, hereby releases second party herein on acceptance .of this dedication from all damages that he might assert by reason of laying out and opening of said highway. Thompson and the Recorder be instructed to deliver licenses to H.E.Thompson only when he and Ed Kna,ublauch appear before him and the latter surrenders the license now held by him in his name. Further that kr. Thompson must first fill out and make application for the licenses in compliance with the ordinances.
