A Treasurers repott was read and ordered placed on file.
Mr. Swan Erickson , a member of the Planning Commission, gave a
report on the numbering of homes in Golden Valley.
New appointments to the Planning Commission were tabled until the
next Council meeting.
A letter from J.D.Murphy, land Commissioner, granting permission
to remove dirt on Lot 268, Glenwood Addition, was read and placed
on file.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to grant the Northern States
Power co permttcto:etestapoles as requested.

The chairman gave a report on the progress of the Civilian Defense.
in the Village og Golden Valley.
Motion by Frandsen secom►ded by Wilson to adopt the following
resolution:
RESOLUTION
ResAlved >.THAT the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley
Henn. County, Minn., hereby accepts the offer of the Northerb States
Power co. to furnish the illumination for street lighting produced
by. 1 - 550 Candlepower (300 matt ) multiple lamp, located in
said Village, and hereby approves all rates, terms, conditions and
specifications contained in the proposed Overhead Street Lighting
Contract* made a part of the offer of said Company, and the president
of the Village Council and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the aforesaid Contract for and in the name
of the Village and to affix the corporate seal thereto.
