08-04-42 Council MinutesAug. 4, 1942 The -meeting was called to order by the chairman R.?.ymond Ik Rasko o Members present Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch and Wilson. Minutes of the Council meeting held July 21,1942 were read. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that the minutes stand approved as read. Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) Minutes of the Special Meeting held July 28,1942 were read. Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the mimutes stand approvdd as read. Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch and Wilson (YES) A Treasurers report was read and ordered placed on file. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that a seconded reading be given the ordinance entitled : An Ordinance Requizing Testing of Cows and -a license for the sale or distribution of milk and Cream" and that the ordinance be formally adopted as read. Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) A letter from the Hennepin County Civilian Defense Council was placed on file. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that a first reading Of ep4tfianee-- Black But Ordinance be gimen by the Village Attorney. Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that due to an emergencey a seconded readingof the ordinance be givenand that the ordinance be adopted as read Raskop, Frandsen Reiss Busch Filson (YES) Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsenthat a seconded reading be given the ordinance entitled"An Ordinance to license and regulate the Construction, Erection, alteration, Refacing, Re Location, Reconsttuct ion, Maintenance and use of Billboards in the Village of Golden Vallelry, Minn." by the Village Attorney, and that the ordinance be adopted as regd. Raskop, Frandsen "eiss Busch Filson (YES) The Village Atto? read a petition asking the Council to vacate certain street's`�inn the Glenwood Adition. Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the Clerk be instructed to publish and post the following notice: In the Matter of Vacating Certain Streets and Alleys in Glenwood , Village of Golden Valley, Minna Notice is hereby given that the Village Council has been petitioned to vacate the following portions of streets and alleys in Glenwood, Village of Golden Valley, according to the plat thereof. A, Thkt pottion of Jean Ave. bordering on lots numbered 80 to 83 both inclusive. B. That portion of the alley between Virginia Ave, and Jean Ave on the rear of the south one half of lote numbered 86 and 100,and on the rear of lots numbered 85 and 101, 84 and 102, 83 and 103, 82 and 104, 81 and 105, 80 and 106, 79 and 107, 78 and 108. That said petition will be considered at the next regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday Aug. 18 1942 at 81oclock P.M. at which time any interested party may appear and be heard. Motion by `teiss seconded by Frandsen that the Siren bid be tabled until the next regular Council meeting orcall of a special Council meeting, RaskoD, Frandsen Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) T k1r. Kane, the Vissgge Attorney reported on the refund of gas tax to the Village,and read opinnass of the attmrney general in regard to the 'Village cutting of weeds on state property , and the Village paying private hospit&l bills .
