11-04-42 Council MinutesNov. 4, :1942 The meeting was called to order by the chairman Raymond T Raskep Members present Raskop Reiss Busch and Wilson. Chas. Frandson was not present but waved notice of the meeting. Minutes of the council mooting held Oct. 20,1942 were read. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that the minutes stand approved as read. Raskop Reiss Busch Filson (YES) A treasurers report was read and ordered placed on file. Mr. Reiss , chairman of Relksf, presented to the Village attorney an agreementfrom the Suburban Hennepin County Roliif Board. Officer Hemberger asked the Council to furnish a warm garage for the Village Police Car. The chairmen stated that he would take up -the matter with the Vilbgs Council, and that the Village Officers wait for further orders. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch thtt the Northland Milk Ce be Granted two licenses to distribute milk in *he Village of Golden Valley, Raskep Reiss Busch Filson (YES) Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that Superior Dakry,and Ohloen Milk Co. be granted a license to distribute milk in the Village of Golden Valley. Raskop, Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that the Lakview Creamery be granted a license to distribute milk subject to the collection of required fee. AN ORDINANCE y REGULATING THE USE OF HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY, IN- CORPORATING PROVISIONS OF THE STATE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC REGULA- TION ACT BY REFERENCE AND IMPOSING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF The council of the Village of Golden Valley do ordain as follows: Section 1. State Highway Traffic Regulation Act Incorporated by Refer- ence. The provisions of Minnesota Sta- tutes 1941, chapter 169, being the Laws of 1937, chapter 464, and acts amenda- tory thereto, are hereby adopted as a traffic ordinance regulating the use of highways, streets, and alleys within the village of Golden Valley and are hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance as completely as if set out here in full. Section 2. Short Title and Charges Hereunder. The short title of this or- dinance shall be Highway Traffic Ordin ante and in any charge, complaint,- or warrant brought or made hereunder it shall be sufficient to refer to this or- dinance by its short title and to state the particular section of Minnesota Sta- tutes 1941, chapter 169, being the Laws of 1937, chapter 464, and acts amenda. tory thereto, under which said complaint warrant, or charge is _brought or made. Likewise it shall be sufficient in any such charge. complaint, or warrant brought or made hereunder to refer to the appropriate' section of said Laws of 1937, chapter 464, as the same are found in Mason's Minnesota Statutes .for 1927 and. Supplements thereto. Section 3. Repeal of Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 31. Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 31, passed July 1st, 1341, and entitled An Ordinance Provid- ing for the Adoption by the Village of Golden Valley of the Provisions of the Laws of the State of Minnesota, Com- monly Known as the Highway Traffic Regulation Act are hereby repealed -in- sofar as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance. Section 4. Nothing herein coptained shall affect or supersede during its period of operation, the operation of the War Speed Ordinance of the Village of Golden Valley. Section' 5. Penalty. Any person violat- ing any provision of this ordinance shall be' guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction be punished by a fine of not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment for a period of not to exceed ninety (90) days..
