Members present Raskop Rrandsen Reiss Busch Wilson Minutes of the regt.lar Council meeting held June 15,1943 were read Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that the minutes stand approved as read. Raskop Frandsen Heiss Busch Milson (YES) Minutes of the special CouncUl meeting held June 18,1943 were read Motion by Busch seconded by Frandsen that the minutes stand approved as read. Raskop Frandsen Reiss Busch Wilson (YES) A report, read by Treasurer, Geo. Casey, was ordered placed on fi%4- A police report was giving by Capt. Mc Ginnis. A resolution past by the Bivil Seervice Commission, urging the Village Council to consider increasing the police force to a minum of three fill time patrolmen. was read by the &lerk. Motion by Reiss seconded by Busch that the chief of Police be authorized to meet with the Civil Service Commission and revort back to the CounjRil at its next meeting. Be it resolved by the Village Council tf the Village of Golden alley that Mr. Kane be authorized to request an opinion of the attorney gen'l on the question of issuing the off sale intoxicating liquors licenses granted $o Fred Sara.mpa and Amy Doran. Roll call Frandsen Busch Wilson (YES( Raskop Reiss (NO) D Mr. Esterbrook presented specifications for Street Improvement and repairs for certain streets in the the Glen Urban Addition, to the Council. Motion by Wilson seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resulutio Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that it is deemed necessary and expedient to repair and rebuild certain sections of the Blauk top pavement and of the cobblestone curb and gutter on certain streets in Glenurban and Glenurban second additions, to wit; Meadow Lane, Westwood Drive, Janalyn Road, Parkview Terrace, and Glencrest Road. At places decribed in and set forth in a report of Hichcock and Esterbrook Inc, Const<lting engineers, filed with the Village Recorder on June 18,1943 and in accordance with plans and specific— ations prepared by said consulting enginneers, which plans and specificaVions also describe the exact location of said places and whit "IL\J�6'lso on file tith the Village recorder Be it further resolved that the Village Recorder be and he Yeireby is directed to advertise for bids for such repair8 and rebuilding on said streets and in said places and in accordance with such plans and specifications. Oaid advertisement is to be published in the Improvement Bulletih on July 9,1943 and in the Robbinsdale Post on July 8,1943 and bids shall be opened by the Council at the Village Hall at its m meeting to be held July 20,1943.
