The regular meeting of the Village Council was called to order by

meeting held Jan 4,1944 were read.
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the minutes stand approved
as read.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Hoe that the Clerk be authorized to
Durschase Three thousand sets each of male and Female election
blanks at a price of $55.50

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that cigarette licenses be
granted to Mae Ql*st H.R Grobe, Martin Larson and Max Feld.

The chairman presnted a letter from Hyman Edelman on the Held Case
and ask that the letter be made a part of the minutes. The Edelman
letter was read to the Council by the clerk.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the Held matter be tabled
until a new Village attorney id apointed.

The chairman instructed the clerk to read the minutes of meetings held
ol-Jan 20,1942 and Nov. 18,1941 on Delphian Heights Additions.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the Delphain Heights matter
be tabled until a Village Attorney is appointed.

bldg Inspector for the year 1944

The chairman appointed Frandsen chairman of the Road and Bridge
committee, Moe chairman of the license and bldg committee, Reiss
chairman of the relief committee and ask Council confirmation
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the oppointments be
conformed.

Village Doctor for the year 1+944

Motion by Moe that Arthur Nelsen be appointed Village attorney for
the year 1944. Chairman Hanson step off the platform and seconded the
motion from the audiance.

The clerk counted the ballots the returns were four (YES) for Nelson
and One (NO) Auther Nelson was appointed Village attorney for 1944
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the civil service commissioner
be appointed at the next Council meeting.

squad car and Fire alarm and phone system be rejected.

advertise for bids on a new squad car and that bids be opened at the ne
next regular Council meeting.
